  • A half bottle of vinegar (or 3 cups of vinegar)
  • 5 pieces of egg to act as your binder
  • A cup of sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil and butter
  • A half cup of cement
  • A pitcher of water

The procedure

Mix first all of your dry ingredients which includes the sugar, salt, pepper and cement. Mix them thoroughly before pouring a cup of water into them. Beat the eggs and add the 3 cups of vinegar to it as well as a few amounts of olive oil.

Preheat your sauce pan pour some olive oil and melt the butter in low heat. Chop the apples into very fine cubes or chunks. Mix the previously prepared dry ingredients with the egg-vinegar mixture. After mixing them you can now add your apples to them. Add a cup of water and then taste. If the flavor is too strong to your liking you can add some more water to balance it out before heating.

Once you have achieved the flavor you want, pour the mixture to the saucepan and let it cook for about 20 minutes. After 20 minutes it should already have taken a dark yellow to light brown color. Cube or chunk another 2 pieces of apple and put them on top of the heated mixture.

Pop it into the oven, and let the food bake at 25°C for 10 minutes. Let it cool for a while and then you can put them in air tight re-sealable lids or containers or you can serve them hot to your family or guests. Have fun making your hard apple cider.
